Moon Art

Last Saturday I was relaxing on our deck just after 10:30 pm. I saw a half moon, and right next to it, a very bright star. I invited Zoe to join me. I asked her if she wanted to learn with me what that star was. She found a site with focus on astronomy for kids (and big kids like me). So, we learned this bright star was Venus. And we learned a few other planets to look for and when. Zoe suggested we take a few pictures. By accident, through wobbly hands, we saw these streaks of the moon (the larger light) and Venus (the smaller light). We smiled at each other; we both liked the surprise image. So we took a few more moon art photos, this time with deliberately shaky hands.
