Share the Harvest

What do you do when Japanese Beetle comes into the city? This is the case for a section of Orem. This beetle is apparently quite agressive with those yummy gardens we plant, enjoying the veggies before we get a chance. This year Orem City designated an area for chemical spray in hopes of preventing the effects of this beetle from spreading. Sadly, for those in the area, not too far from our home, they cannot have gardens for three years. Ouch. The city created a program called Share the Harvest, creating drop off locations for those with gardens to share with those that could not have gardens. Our family has offered a few goodies along the way. Zoe has been our leader.

Two additional photos of a recent harvests and soon-to-harvest from our garden.
